Thanks, I have updated the guide to include this. No issues experienced where I have used the original config (i..e detection worked!), but no harm in adding these.

I set everything up according to your instructions, but the vulnerability was not detected. Wireshark showed that openvas does not scan port tcp / 445. Everything worked after I in “Scan Config” noted the tests “Nmap (NASL wrapper)” and “Ping Host” located in “Port scanners”.
